Hello all you Genealogy Lovers!  (And all of you that haven't yet started searching for dead people, but will fall in love with it.)  I've decided to start a blog and share some of  the tips and tricks that I've found to be very helpful in genealogy research.  Hopefully you can share some of your hints and helps, and we will all be the wiser.

Genealogy is the BEST TREASURE HUNT EVER!!!!  You can search the world far and wide, but you will never find anything more priceless than your family heritage.  Seeing what your Great-Great-Great-Grandparents struggled with throughout their life; the hardships, challenges and even victories can make you a stronger person.  Whether you realize it or not, you are shaped by their lives. You are who you are because of the choices that they made.  Finding out about those choices is empowering.  It will give you a greater understanding of who you are, and who you can become.

I have been passionate about genealogy for about 10 years now.  To say that things have changed a little over those ten years would be a drastic understatement!  Genealogy has never been easier!  The fact that I could sit on my bed in my pajamas and find my 6th Great Grandparents is mind boggling. (But's that's a story for another day.)
